Packaging and Accessories:
The Rosewill Ranger mid-tower case comes packaged in a plain cardboard box that doesn't provide much information. There is nothing wrong with a plain cardboard box, especially as it is not going to be found on the shelves of a local retailer, as they are a part of
Newegg.com.
Inside the box the case is packed as expected, which is between two large foam blocks. The case itself is placed in a plastic bag, which is a common practice to further protect the finish.
The Ranger case comes with a collection of accessories which include: three sets of tool-less hard drive rails, an installation manual, an assortment of standoffs and screws, a piezo speaker, and finally a bunch of cable ties. All of this is expected to be included with a case these days, and there is nothing too surprising in this bundle.
As solid state drives are becoming very common, Rosewill has also included an adapter to install an SSD in the case. It comes pre-installed in one of the hard drive bays, and is very easy to remove in order to install an SSD.
Also pre-installed in the case are the tool-less 5.25" drive bay locks. Once the 5.25" device is put into the proper position, simply turning the knob will engage the lock and keep the device securely in place.
