Packaging and Accessories:
The package is unassuming black, shows a picture of the keyboard and receiver, and has a cutout with the mouse encased in plastic. I feel this is a good feature, since you can feel the mouse without opening the package to see if your hand fits nicely. A few circles on the front proclaim specifications such as '2.4GHz 15M' and '8,388,608 IDs,' while 'Multi-Channel Frequency Hopping Technology' is printed in a box nearby.
The back of the package shows more features, such as 'Enlarged ENTER Key' and ‘Sealed Membrane Design,’ while all of the basic features from the website are duplicated in English, Spanish, French, and Chinese. There is also a picture of the keyboard, mouse, and receiver in scale.
Upon opening the package, we find the keyboard, mouse, two generic ‘AA’ batteries, and a very basic user manual. No driver/software CD is included.
Um, where’s the receiver? It’s tucked away in its slot under the keyboard (Note: read the box where it states ‘Dongle Stored Design’).
The receiver is tiny! It’s much smaller than most USB Flash Drives... easily small enough to lose. The contacts for the receiver are exposed for potential damage, whether this matters to you or not would depend on the intended use and how much you plug and unplug your USB items. The keyboard and mouse each have an On/Off switch to conserve battery life.
