Testing (continued):

PCMark Vantage:

The hard drive suite from FutureMark's PCMark Vantage (64-Bit) was the next set of tests to be executed. Six of the individual results were selected to be displayed for comparison purposes. Each test provides results with units in terms of MB/s, where higher is better.

Application Loading is the first portion of the benchmark that we'll investigate. The name implies that you are loading applications in Windows, which seems like a heavily read-oriented test. Unfortunately, the RealSSD C300 does not dominate this test like I expected it to, and it only puts up a score of about 84MB/s.

The second chart from PCMark Vantage is for the Gaming portion of the test. At just over 205MB/s, the RealSSD C300 has to settle for second best here.

The third chart shows the PCMark Vantage simulation of Windows Vista booting, where the OCZ Technology Vertex 2 puts up a score just over 200MB/s, which relegates the RealSSD C300 to second best once again.
