Testing (continued):

In the first graph below, we look at the coolers running at idle. As you can see from the data, the Megahalems just barely edges out the Performa by two degrees with the stock fan and only one degree with the second fan added. By adding a second fan to the Zalman Performa, we don't really see any added performance over the single fan solution. When adding in the noise factor, at idle, the Zalman and the Prolimatech coolers are barely audible over the video card and power supply fans.



The next chart looks at the test coolers at load conditions. Once again, in its stock configuration, the Performa is right on par with the Megahalems. Adding in the second fan offers only a marginal performance gain. Once again, at full load, the Performa is really a very quiet cooler. Adding in the second fan did bring the noise level up, but that is expected.
