Testing (continued):
Passmark Performance Test 7.0 64-Bit:
PassMark's Performance Test v7.0 suite offers three tests that we can use on a flash memory card, and all of them measure the device transfer speed in MB/s. In each of these tests, a higher score is better. These tests were run three times each, with a reboot between each test run. The charts show the averages of the three runs.
The Patriot Memory LX Pro clearly writes faster than any of the other SD cards tested. The closest competitor is the Transcend Class 10 card which was still approximately 2MB/s slower.
During the Sequential Read test, the Patriot LX Pro was still the fastest, however the margin closed to 0.2MB/s faster.
The final test done by Passmark Performance Test is the Random Seek test. In this test, the Patriot LX Pro was the slowest drive, putting up a speed of just 0.05MB/s. In a surprise twist, the Sandisk Class 2 card was the fastest.
