Packaging and Accessories:
As we've seen previously, our P8P67 EVO arrived in the classic ASUS packaging, with the company logo in the upper left-hand corner, model number (and revision) prominently displayed across the middle, and major features taking up real estate on the bottom and left side of the front panel. The bonus is that the layout is becoming a signature for ASUS and the bonus is that consumers can make their buying decisions with a quick glance to see which features meet their needs.
The back of the package is just as familiar as the front. A good sized image of the actual board, a quick hit-list of specifications, and a somewhat detailed explanation of the more prominent features.
Once inside the box, the bundled accessories are standard for most manufacturers today. A USB 3.0 header bracket, an SLI bridge connector, (2) quick-connect wiring devices (these allow the user to painlessly wire up the front panel and USB headers without having to bury your head in the case to make the connections), a pair of SATA II (3Gbps) cables, and a pair of SATA III (6Gbps) cables. While the P8P67 EVO does support AMD's Crossfire technology, there is no Crossfire Connector included. ASUS support claims that should be included with any Crossfire capable AMD Radeon video card.
The last bit of accessories includes an I/O backplane, Motherboard User Guide, User Guide for ASUS' DIGI+ and BT GO! technologies, driver/utility CD, and case badge. Nothing overly exciting here, but nice to see all the bases covered.
