The Basics:
The first thing you will probably notice about the Sabertooth P67 is the massive cover plate that both protects and aids in overall cooling. The textured surface along with the black and olive drab color scheme adds to the overall military theme. In addition, you might notice that ASUS has left a good bit of room around the CPU socket for larger after-market cooling solutions.
On the right side of the board there are eight SATA ports. The four black ports are of the SATA II/3Gbps variety capable of RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. The other two sets (grey and white) are of the SATA III/6Gbps variety. Only the white ones are RAID capable - either striped or mirroring. The other port (the rectangular OD green one to the right) is an internal USB 3.0 header.
In the top right-hand corner of the board is a 3-pin fan header and MemOK! button. MemOK! - "the one and only DRAM self-tweaking technology that enables the motherboard to tweak the DRAM timing parameters automatically" - is a boot rescue feature that allows you to safely reboot the motherboard if you encounter memory issues. More on MemOK! can be found
here.
The bottom right-hand corner has another fan header, COM1 port, and the front panel header. If you so choose, you can use the included quick connector to help make the necessary connections virtually painless.
