Installation:
The installation of the NH-C14 is similar to other coolers, and goes very easily. One minor problem I had was lining the screws up when placing the cooler onto the CPU. Noctua has created two holes in the fins, which help to get to the screws below the cooler and fins. However, in the current test case it was difficult to see whether they were lined up. If the power supply is at the bottom of the case, there is little room at the top to see whether the screws line up.
Once the screws are lined up, completing the installation is a breeze. Plug the power cables in and it is ready to go.
Depending on the height of the components on the motherboard, the Noctua NH-C14 might have some clearance issues. On the test system there were no issues; however it was close.
When the current case was tested, the Thermaltake Frio was installed. This is an extremely tall cooler which pressed against the side panel. The Noctua NH-C14 does not have this problem as it is designed with a fairly low profile even with the top fan installed.
