The NF-S12A PWM's key specifications are listed below, and more information can be found at the

Of special interest with this unit is that it features a 4-pin PWM power connector which allows for fine speed control through its allowable range of 300-900RPM. Most motherboards feature these connectors, and some aftermarket fan speed controllers will, too.

The next image shows the fan installed at the exhaust position in the HTPC where we saw the NF-S12A FLX installed at the inlet. With the NF-S12A PWM connected to a PWM fan header on the motherboard, the installation was plug and play with no additional adjustments necessary since the motherboard's BIOS was set to run the fans quietly.
