The Basics:
The
Nitrox x835 arrived in the now familiar white and green box, as seen in the pictures below . On par with Nitrox's other offerings, the packaging around the device is clear plastic so the consumer can see what the device actually looks like prior to purchase. In the below right image we see the back of the packaging. You can see that Nitrox has listed the specifications of the x835, aa list of what is included with the unit, as well as some pictographs of places you might use the device.
In addition to the speaker itself, inside the box we find an instruction manual, a car charger cord, and a visor clip for car mounting. Since the Nitrox x835 Bluetooth handsfree car kit uses a standard mini-USB plug for charging, you can also charge it with a standard mini-USB to USB cable - much like the previously reviewed items from Nitrox.
The above right image gives you a heads-on look at the x835. The four icons (Hold/Mute, Bluetooth, Car/Speakerphone Mode, and Battery Level) are displayed depending on whether or not the unit is face up (Speakerphone Mode) or face down/clipped to your car visor (Handsfree Mode). The icons will change depending on what mode the device is in. On the very front of the unit are the dual microphones and the door that slides open for charging.
The two pictures below give you an idea of both the controls and the general size of the unit. In the below left image, the x835's left side reveals the on/off switch. In the below right image, the right side has the Hold/Mute button and the volume control. Pressing the button puts the unit on Mute while holding the button down for a few seconds places the call on hold. To give you an idea of how big the Nitrox x835 Bluetooth Handsfree Kit is, we used a regular size AA battery for reference.
