The Basics:
The
Nitrox iConn+ arrived in a very nice, clear plastic case. Word of note to manufacturers - most consumers hate clamshell packaging. Nitrox must have figured this out because the packing is quite easy to get into. The back of the packaging is very simple and easy to read, providing you all of the details and the "works with iPhone" certification logo.
Included in the box is a USB to mini-USB cable for charging the device, as well as a detailed manual which you may or may not need. The iConn+ will charge both the external battery and your iPod's internal battery for convenience.
Once out of the packaging, you notice the iConn+ name stamped into the protective cover flap, as well as the texture of the leather. Around the back of the unit we see the Velcro closure flap and the opening for the iPhone's camera.
Next, we compare the thickness of the case to the iPhone itself - and as you can see it will just about double the thickness. While that does seem to be a lot, it's not really any bulkier than any other full coverage case or even some of the hard, plastic ones I have used in the past. It's certainly not any thicker than some other smart phones on the market.
