Packaging and Accessories:
When the UPS guy dropped off the package I was unsure what I had received. The box was at least 2 feet square, and pretty heavy. I opened the box to see the retail
Noctua NH-C12P CPU cooler package along with a Noctua NF-S12B FLX 120mm fan (which will be discussed later in the review).
I was a little taken aback by the size of the package. Being a 'low profile' heatsink I did not expect such a big box and got a bit worried about how this large cooler would even fit in the Lian Li HTPC case that was still en route. There was a bit more cardboard packing surrounding the cooler, but I was still worried about size issues I could have in the near future.
The accessories included with the
Noctua NH-C12P CPU cooler look like a lot, but keep in mind there are three sets of mounting hardware.
From bottom left there is the SecuFirmâ„¢ mounting kit for AMD AM2, SecuFirmâ„¢ mounting kit for LGA775, NT-H1 high-grade thermal compound, fan clips, spring loaded screws, wire ties, Ultra-Low-Noise-Adaptor U.L.N.A., and Low-Noise-Adaptor L.N.A. The SecuFirmâ„¢ mounting kit for LGA1366 is laid out on the right side, which I will be using for the install.
