CrystalDiskMark 2.2

During CrystalDiskMark's sequential read test, the MUKii U3 enclosure was the slowest of the test devices at 103.7MB/s. This is close to 3x faster than USB 2.0 and is very respectable. However, the TurboHDD application shows that it didn't really help the performance.



In the sequential write test, MUKii again came in the slowest with 102.2MB/s. The difference between the MUKii U3 and the fastest device is only 10MB/s. It is still much faster than any USB 2.0 device.



Thermaltake's BlacX 5G is constantly outperforming the other devices in every test. Reading 512K blocks, the BlacX 5G outperforms the MUKii U3 by 16MB/s. As expected, the TurboHDD doesn't do much to decrease the gap in performance.



Unfortunately, while writing 512K blocks, the MUKii U3 falls behind by almost 45%. The BlacX 5G produced speeds around 90MB/s, while the U3 produced speeds of about 51MB/s. This is a huge difference, and could make a big difference in transfer times.
