Conclusion:
The
MUKii TransImp TIP-330U3-BK USB 3.0 drive enclosure is easy to use and simplifies the task of turning any 3.5" SATA drive into a portable device. As with other USB 3.0 devices, it is fully backwards compatible to USB 2.0; so even if you have this enclosure before you have USB 3.0 in your computer, it will still function just fine with your current USB 2.0 connections. You'll have yourself a enclosure that will be ready for SuperSpeed performance whenever you are.
The aluminum case will provide protection for the hard drive installed in the TransImp TIP-330U3-BK, while still keeping the weight down. The included stand allows the enclosure to be place in multiple positions when in use.
While the MUKii TransImp TIP-330U3-BK is a nice enclosure, it didn't perform as well as other USB 3.0 devices on hand. This was evident in all of the tests performed, and it really shows in the 512K write test of CrystalDiskMark. With that in mind, it still performs around 3x faster than USB 2.0.
The Bigbruin.com shopping engine finds the MUKii TIP-330U3-BK at
