Testing (continued):

Everest Ultimate Edition 5.30.2068 (Read):

The next graph details the results from the random read portion of the test. Here we see the performance of the Momentus XT improved by over 18% from the first to last run.



The next test takes a look at the inflated figures available thanks to buffered read testing. The Momentus XT does just fine, for what it is worth, but minimal improvement was seen over the course of the five tests.



Finally we get to the access time measurements for each drive. While this is another area that SSDs dominate, it was a bit disappointing to see just how high the Momentus XT's results were. I haven't seen a drive put up numbers that high, and even with the adaptive memory helping to lower things by over 1ms the numbers aren't that impressive.
