Conclusion:
I think the improvements to battery capacity and the addition of an Ethernet port really make this product stand out, especially for the constant traveler. Having a device that can actually recharge your phone on the go is nice, but having that device also pull double duty as a travel router puts it over the top.
While these new features help make this an even more appealing device for travelling professionals, it still offers the same features that made the first version great for professionals and families. Being able to stream/share files with a handful of different wireless device simultaneously is still the key selling point, and the MobileLite Wireless G2 still handles that task with ease. Loading up a USB flash drive or SD card with movies and music is an easy way to keep all the tablet / smartphone toting passengers on your family vacation occupied for hours.
When the first generation MobileLite Wireless device was released last year, Amazon had it for sale at just about $60 (US), which seemed very fair. While the first generation device's price has now dropped to under $40, I was very pleased to see that the G2 is now for sale at
Amazon.com for just under $55. Considering that the G2 does everything that the first version did, and then offers a handful of improvements, the price is definitely right!
Considering the improvements made to the
Kingston MobileLite Wireless G2, and just how handy the first version was - it definitely earns the Bigbruin.com "Highly Recommended" award.

» Easy to increase/change storage capacity.
» Huge battery that gives great run time (13 hrs) and provides significant back up battery power.
» Travel router adds even more practicality.
» Still does all the great things the previous version did.
Cons:
» Battery percentage indicator would be more helpful than battery graphic.
