Testing (continued):

Everest Ultimate Edition 5.02.1756

Everest is similar to Sandra in that it includes benchmarks for many components. For drives it will analyze read and write performance, presenting the scores in MB/s, along with the average access time in ms. As always, higher values are better for read and write performance, and lower values are best for the access time.

As the previous benchmarks have shown, the Intel SSD performs better than the Kingston unit in Read speeds (but not by a large amount). The one test that Kingston did perform better in is the Buffered Read speed, where there is a fairly large difference in speeds.

Missing from the Everest Write test is the Hitachi 2.5" hard drive. For an unknown reason it would not run the benchmark on this drive..

During the write test, it is obvious that this is a strength of the Kingston drive, as it easily outperformed the Intel drive. Something to note, write speed does not appear to be very good on the Intel drive as the standard Seagate hard drive outperformed the Intel SSD!
