CrystalDiskMark's popular set of read and write tests provide the final set of results for us to consider. Testing was conducted with sequential reads and writes, random reads and writes with 512K blocks, and random reads and writes with 4K blocks. Each test provides results with units in terms of MB/s, and higher is again better.
There seems to be an unpredictable mixed bag of results here. The Kingston drive exceeds published specifications in terms of sequential reads, but falls slightly short in terms of sequential writes. In the 512K read test the Kingston drive surges to the head of the class, but when it comes to 512K writes it gets beat by everyone, including the 5400RPM Western Digital drive. And when we finally get to the 4K tests it performs in line with what you might expect.
