Testing:

To test both the MobileLite G3 and the 16GB UltimateXX UHS-I card, CrystalDiskMark 3.0 was used to evaluate the performance. In addition, the performance of these devices will be compared to a Samsung 16GB SDHC card and an older ATP Pro Max card reader.

The Kingston UHS-I 233X card was faster than the advertised speed by around 3MB/s in both read and write tests when using the MobileLite G3 media reader. Of course it doesn't perform as well using a card reader that is not optimized for the new UHS-I cards, where it performed nearly the same as the Samsung card in the ATP Pro Max card reader. On the other hand, the MobileLite G3 did boost the read performance of the Samsung card by 3Mb/s.
