Packaging:

The memory packaging is simple, yet effective. A tamper proof sticker wrapped around the hard plastic shell will reveal if anybody has previously opened the package.



The Basics:

As with most memory modules today - the Kingston HyperX Beast modules are sold with a factory installed heatspreader. Pictured below are the predominantly black modules with the HyperX Beast script and Kingston name along each side. A US quarter has been placed in the picture for a size comparison. Overall height of the HyperX Beast modules is just under 1-7/8 inches. The second image below is a close-up of the Kingston sticker which indicates the part and serial numbers of the review sample.



Installation of the memory was literally a snap. Pictured first is a set of memory installation instructions from Kingston and then we see the product installed in our test system. Note the modules had to be installed into DIMM slots 1 and 3 because slot 0 is blocked by an aftermarket Cooler Master CPU cooler.
