Testing (continued):
CrystalDisk Mark 3.0:
Five runs of
CrystalDiskMark 3.0 were performed and the averages were calculated. The tests were comprised of sequential read and write tests, as well as 512k block read and write tests. In each of these tests, a higher score is better.
With the Seagate hard drive connected directly to the SATA connection on the ASUS motherboard it achieved a 110.10 MB/s transfer rate in the Sequential Read test. The I-NA320U Plus hard drive dock performed about as well, receiving 109.9MB/s.
As odd as it looks, the I-NA320U Plus performed slightly better than the direct SATA connection, by .3MB/s, when it comes to the Sequential Write test. This was unexpected as usually external devices do not perform as well as direct connections.
CrystalDisk Mark's 512K Read test shows the I-NA320U Plus about 1.5MB/s slower than the BlacX 5G and the direct SATA connection, while it was about 4MB/s faster than the Kingwin Dock Master.
The final test follows the previous tests showing the Ineo device capable of nearly the same speed as the BlacX 5G and the direct SATA conection, coming in just .2MB/s slower.
