Optional Accessories:
If there is a need for a docking station, there are most likely spare hard drives laying around. Ineo has hard drive cases to store both
2.5" and
3.5" hard drives. With the I-NA320U Plus docking station, they included one of their 3.5" hard drive cases.
Inside the door and at the bottom of the case is a piece of foam which will keep the drive secure when placed inside. The case is advertised as being splash resistant, which doesn't mean it's waterproof - simple splashes won't affect the drive, however being submerged will. This case can easily be stacked which will help to keep spare hard drives organized.
Testing:
To test the Ineo I-NA320U Plus hard drive docking station, it was connected to a system with the following specifications:
» ASUS M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 motherboard
» AMD 1090T processor
» Thermaltake Frio CPU cooler
» eVGA GeForce 275GTX video card
» Kingston 128GB SSDNow V+ solid state drive
» Seagate 7200.11 1.5TB hard drive
» Seagate 7200.12 1.0TB hard drive
» LG Blu-Ray burner
» Corsair CS600 power supply
A 3.5" 320GB Seagate 7200.12 RPM SATA hard drive will be used for testing purposes. The I-NA320U Plus docking station will be compared to a Thermaltake BlacX 5G docking station, Kingwin Dock Master USB 3.0 docking station, and with the drive connected directly to the system's SATA II controller.
The following tests will be executed on each configuration to gauge its performance:
» Real World Transfers
» CrystalDiskMark 3.0
