The Basics:
The LCD panel of the monitor has an anti-reflective coating on it that will help reduce reflections from sunlight and other light sources, however it won't entirely eliminate them. The bezel on this monitor has a mirror finish, but there were some minor scratches on it (as a refurb this may expected). At the center of the bottom portion of the frame we find the company name, and just below that is a sticker which indicates any warranty will be void if it is removed.
The lower right corner of the front panel has the all important buttons. From left to right, they are: Menu/Return, Up/Brightness, Down/Volume, Input Selector/Enter, Power. Hannspree has built in a few hot keys as well: Press Up and Down at same time to reset Brightness/Contrast to factory settings, Menu and Down will switch between Full and Fit modes, and Menu and Up will change the resolution to the optimal resolution. Next to these buttons on the side is the power indicator; Blue is On; Orange is power saving mode.
The above right image shows the upper right corner of the monitor. There is not much exciting here, just three simple stickers. While not necessary, they are important for some users to quickly know the monitor meets EPA Energy Star and GP Green Product requirements. Finally, we have the most important sticker... Windows Vista certification!
The top left of the front bezel is fairly plain, here you only get the model number of the monitor. Once again, you can see very fine scratches in the bezel. The lower left corner is also devoid of anything important, with only "HDMI" marked on it.
