Accessories:
After removing the familiar white cardboard box from inside the case, we open it to find the usual suspects, plus a few nice surprises. First off, in the below left image you see the HAF 932 installation guide. This covers all of the HAF 932 cases, and is not AMD Edition specific. Included in the "bag of parts" are motherboard standoffs, motherboard mounting screws, optical drive screws, a speaker cable (if your motherboard doesn't have one natively), a few zips ties, and most importantly, a sheet of black cover stickers for your 5.25" bay devices. Because of the way Cooler Master has decided to attach the bay covers, when you remove them you are left with a hole. These stickers help to hide that hole and blend in with the rest of the color scheme.
The above right image shows the rest of the accessories. We have four really nice casters - should you decide to replace the stock feet. Screws are included in the parts bag for them, as well. Also, we see a 2.5" to 5.25" bay cover in the same materials as the rest of the covers. Lastly, you will notice that they have also thrown in an extension cable for your 8-pin power connector. You will probably need this as most power supply cables will not reach if you use the suggested cut-outs on the motherboard tray.
Installation and Operation:
A system with the following components was installed in the case for this review.
» Intel Core i7 920 (2.66GHz) processor
» Prolimatech Megahalems CPU cooler
» eVGA x58 SLI Micro motherboard
» 2x BFG GeForce GTX 260 MAX CORE 55 896MB PCI Express video cards in SLI
» Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 3Gbps hard drive
» OCZ Platinum 6GB 1600MHz DDR3 triple channel memory
» 850 Watt Thermaltake TR2 RX-850 modular power supply
» Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit operating system
And as ironic as it may seem, this AMD case was not tested with an AMD processor or graphics card.
As you can see from the picture below, there is a ton of space in the HAF 932 chassis. Even with all of our test components, there is plenty of room for really good airflow. Also, the management holes in the case should help with keeping the cables out of the way. Even with a minimal amount of time, we managed a fairly decent job of getting most of them hidden. With a bit more time, we could have hidden much more of them, but this gives you a general idea.
Because
Cooler Master chose to use low speed fans in the HAF 932 series, you can hardly hear them over the other system components. In keeping with the "AMD red" theme, both the front and top-mounted 230mm fans have red LEDs to add to the ambiance during operation.
One note is that with components installed, and the side panel in place, the dragon graphics on the window aren't as pronounced.
