Testing (continued):
ATTO Disk Benchmark v2.34:
Version 2.34 of
ATTO Disk Benchmark was the next program used to compare the speeds of the drives on hand. The test was run in a fairly standard configuration using a transfer size from 0.5 to 8192KB, a total length of 256MB, and a queue depth of 10. Read and write results are provided in terms of MB/s, where higher is better. This test is the benchmark equivalent of the 40 yard dash - fastest time wins.
The first two tests are the 64k read and writes. The read results aren't too good for our GoFlex Turbo drive. While the write results are better, we expected to see a bit more performance given the faster spindle speed.

64k Write (higher is better):
The next two tests are for the 8MB reads and writes. Once again, the Turbo is lacking in flat-out read performance, but catches up to its GoFlex counterpart during the write portion of the benchmark.
