Testing (continued):
CrystalDiskMark:
In the next phase of testing the Kingston UHS-I U3 64GB SDXC card was run through CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 x64 while installed in the Kingston FCR-HS4 and the Kingston MobileLite G3 card readers. The chart below details the sequential read results, where we see that the FCR-HS4 allows us to eek out a few extra MB/s when compared to the MobileLite G3 (98.27MB/s versus 94.03MB/s).
The chart below details the sequential write results, where we see that the FCR-HS4 is faster by just a fraction of a MB/s.
ATTO Disk Benchmark:
In the final phase of testing the Kingston UHS-I U3 64GB SDXC card was run through ATTO Disk Benchmark v2.47 while installed in the Kingston FCR-HS4 and the Kingston MobileLite G3 card readers. The chart below details the 8MB Read results, where the newer card reader is able of transfer rates that are a few MB/s faster.
Finally, we have the 8MB Write results, where once again the FCR-HS4 is the top performer.
Having a look at all the charts shows that the FCR-HS4 is the faster of the two readers, but the results are so close you probably wouldn't even notice in every day situations.
