Simply screwing the stand into the screw hole on the back of the frame will provide a nice way to display the frame on a table. With the stand leg in place the frame leans slightly back to provide a good viewing angle.
Configuration:
Once the digital frame is unpacked and has power connected, pressing the on/off switch will turn the device on. A simple splash screen is presented letting the user know it is powering on. I was surprised at the time it took to boot up, which is approximately 25 seconds. Once the unit powers on, it will automatically search for a wireless signal. If any are found, a list will be presented along with the approximate signal strengths.
eStarling has included a method to manually configure a wireless network if you know the SSID for one that is not being broadcast. Configuring it is extremely simple, enter the SSID name using the electronic keyboard, and then select the encryption method.
Occasionally eStarling will make new firmware updates available. Thankfully the digital frame will download and perform the update itself. Once the update is done, the frame will reboot and will once again be ready to go.
