ATTO Disk Benchmark:
ATTO's disk benchmark was the final test to be considered, and it was run on the same set of four drives that we saw on the previous page. This test provides read/write results for a number of file sizes, much like the USB Flash Benchmark. This time, we have pulled results from the high end of the file size tests (8MB), as well as from the low end (8KB).
During the 8MB read test, the Kingston drive performed as it did in the previous tests, with a result of just over 80MB/s.
And as in previous tests, the 8MB results show the DataTraveler Mini coming in at just over 10MB/s.
Taking a look at the 8KB read results shows the DataTraveler Mini is actually the fastest drive on hand. When you get to smaller file sizes, performance has a tendancy to fade, but the Kingston drive still performs decently.
The 8KB write results are pretty close across the board, with all values in the mid 4.x MB/s range.
