New Feature - Services:
This is one of my favorite new features. Finally Synology has included a page where you can see and enable/disable all services on the DiskStation. It takes time to go into each service page one at a time and check if it is running or not. Having all of the services in one area has been on my wishlist ever since I started using a Synology DiskStation. In the image below you can see the different services, their status, and can enable or disable them.
New Feature - DSM Mobile:
Prior to DSM 3.2, hitting the NAS URL with a mobile phone did bring up somewhat of a mobile web interface. But with the DSM Mobile feature built in you can actually do just about everything from your mobile device. In the image below you can see a screenshot of DSM Mobile. Manage users and shared folders, services, view system info or the resource monitor, get help, and even launch one of the running Apps such as the DS Audio App.
New Android Apps - DS Finder & DS File:
The DS Finder Android App will search your network for any DiskStations so you can connect to it. There isn't too much to play with, but you can view Basic Information as shown in the below left image, and Network Information / Storage Information, as shown in the below right image.
The DS File Android App is a fantastic application that allows you to connect directly to your DiskStation and upload/download files with your Android device. This is great if you have your DiskStation available online and have the ability to access all of your data from anywhere. That being said, it is critical that you enable the HTTPS connections for the FileStation. Once you log into DS File any Shared Folders you have access to are available, as shown in the image below.
