The Synology DS213j is advertised with low power consumption numbers - 19.82W during heavy usage and 3.65W in hibernation mode. Power efficiency was evaluated using a Seasonic Power Angel monitoring device at three different power states - hibernation mode (hard disks are not powered), idle (no network activity or extra internal processes running), and heavy usage (network file transfers & an active Synology virus scan).
As you can see from the chart below - we found the Synology power ratings to correlate very well to the usage measured with the Seasonic Power Angel.
