Packaging and Accessories:

The packaging for the Synology Diskstation 1515 is similar to their other offerings we have checked out, as there were two cardboard boxes used to provide more than adequate protection for the valuable contents inside. What was different is that the inner box for this unit actually featured some colored artwork. Typically the boxes just feature a bit of black text, and are hardly retail friendly. As you can see in the images below, you get a good look at the unit in a few pictures, and there are plenty of details provided on the device's capabilities.



Inside this box we find a smaller box filled with the device's accessories, as well as the rigid foam frame used to secure the NAS server.



The accessories include the items shown below... two RJ45 network cables, an AC power cable, a set of keys for the tool-less drive bays, and a quick installation guide.
