The Basics:

There isn't much to the DockStar; it is a compact device with a simple white appearance.

From the front you see a single USB Mini-B connection in the middle of the docking port. This is intended to mate up with the USB connection on a Seagate FreeAgent Go drive. A little bit lower on the front surface of the dock is a little LED which indicates connectivity and access. Turning the DockStar ninety degrees shows a side that is empty except for a few vents which provide the internal components a little air flow.

The opposite side is where we begin to see the other features of the DockStar. On the right side is a single USB port, while on the back of the DockStar is where we find the other two USB ports, an Ethernet port and a power jack.

If you have a Seagate FreeAgent Go to use with the DockStar, you make the connection by simply sliding the drive into the docking station, as shown in the images below. As the below right image shows, the FreeAgent Go leans slightly to the rear to help keep it balanced.
