Packaging and Accessories:
The
D-Link DIR-880L is sold in a rather well detailed box that would do well to help sell the device if found in a retail setting.
The front of the box (below left image) shows the router and a few tidbits about what it can do for you. There is mention of its dual core processor and its 11AC transfer rates, as well as that it offers "Maximum Performance for Gaming and Streaming HD Media". All of the other faces of the box are covered in information regarding the DIR-880L, including the back of the box which is shown in the below right image. In this view you get information about how this router will help your different devices, as well as high level introductions to six of its more interesting features.
Inside the box there is a formed tray which securely houses the router. The router ships with the three antennas removed, and the whole unit is wrapped in plastic to further protect it. The full compliment of accessories are found underneath the router at the bottom of the tray.
The below left image shows all of the accessories included in the box. There is an AC/DC power adapter, a bag with two screws and two wall anchors for installation, a CAT5e network cable, a small collection of documents (manual, WI-Fi configuration guide, marketing material), and the three rather serious looking antennas. The below right image takes a close look at the antennas which feature a blade-like body, as well as a hinge/swivel located just before the threaded connection which allows you to connect them to the back of the router.
