Packaging:
As you would expect from a well-established company like
D-Link; the packaging does a very good job of communicating the content's capabilities, as well as keeping the contents secure in transit. Each box contained the device, a set up card, and a GPL code statement. Below are pictures of the packaging for each.

The Basics:
DCH-S150:
The motion sensor is more or less a cube. On the front there is a PIR sensor with a range of 26 feet. On the left side is the WPS and reset buttons, as well as the status LED. Overall it seems well built, but in my opinion is seems a bit chunky to me. Mine also has a small slot on the front that is not described anywhere. In fact mine differs from the official PDF on their site, as their's seems to indicate the status LED is on the front, not the side. But if you look at the manual it should be on the side.

The smart plug is also fairly bulky, but this is more understandable as it has to accept a plug and there is a minimum depth needed. On the front there is the “smart” outlet, device status LED, and an outlet on/off status LED. On the left side there is a WPS button which also doubles as a reset button.
