Testing (continued):
Real-World File Transfers (continued):
Many Small Files - Write Performance:
This test measured the time to transfer an entire folder of small files that sum to approximately 1GB. The average file size of these test files was 16MB. Results show the Kingston DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 suffers slightly when transferring smaller files, likely due to the higher overhead. Still, we measured a transfer rate of 52.9MB/s. In other words, copying 1GB of small files took less than twenty seconds to complete.
Many Small Files - Read Performance:
Read performance was higher for the small file transfer test at 119MB/s. Less than 9 seconds to read 1GB of data off the Kingston HyperX 3.0 flash drive. Again, try finding another drive that can accomplish this.
