You can not help but notice the massive increase in the popularity of notebook computers over the last few years. With advances in technology, and an impressive drop in price, it is not far fetched to find multiple laptops in a single home. NXZT has taken notice of such a market and launched their Cryo S Notebook cooler, a more affordable version of their award winning Cryo LX cooler.

The promotional image above provides a quick look at the NZXT Cryo S aluminum notebook cooler, and over the course of this review we will not only take a closer look, but also investigate whether it can help cool your investment while also providing a more comfortable user experience.

Before taking a closer look at the sample provided for review, let's take a look at some published information regarding the Cryo S, as taken from the official product page on the NZXT website.

Built with thick, brushed aluminum, the Cryo S houses two adjustable 120mm fans that provide powerful cooling to any notebook up to 15 inches. Its rubber finish lifts the notebook up slightly to remove heat pockets and enhance airflow. The Cryo S can be powered via USB or the included AC adaptor and provides two additional USB ports to give users even more options for media, storage and input devices.

Features:

» Built with 3mm thick aluminum with sturdy construction
» Cools your notebook with two controllable 120mm fans
» Two USB ports for your input and usb thumb drives
» Non-slip rubberized plastic surface keeps notebooks from sliding
» Tilted surface allows for comfortable and relaxed typing
» Support for all types of notebooks from netbooks to 15" notebooks
» Ideal for eliminating and reducing heat in performance notebooks

Packaging:

The Cryo S comes neatly packed in an attractive box with an image of the product clearly displayed on the front. The rear, as with most packaging, has a list of the features in multiple languages.
