Testing:
For a bit of thermal testing we used
CPUID's Hardware Monitor software to check the CPU temperature of the same system assembled in three different cases. For the idle temeprature, Each build was allowed to sit for 30 minutes with nothing running but Hardware Monitor. For testing loads, one hour of Crysis 2 was played. At the end of the hour, the maximum temperature was recorded. All cases were used with their included stock fans and any included fan controllers set to high.
The Cooler Master Storm Enforcer was 3 degrees Celsius warmer than the same system built in a Thermaltake Armor A60 and a Zalman Z9 Plus.
Without the top exhaust fan, the Storm Enforcer was able to provide about the same level of cooling as the Thermaltake Armor A60 and Zalman Z9 Plus which both include a top exhaust fan. Adding a top exhaust fan might allow the Storm Enforcer to reach the same temperatures as the other two cases.
