The box for the EX-1000 is both attractive and informative. The front panel provides a look at the unit, as well as details on a variety of its features.
Around back you get a generic step-by-step guide to upgrading your power supply, as well as information regarding fan noise and efficiency.
Other sides of the box include more in-depth information on the specifications, so if you were to find this on the shelf of a brick and mortar store, you could find out just about everything you would want to know rather quickly.
Inside the box, the first thing we find is the quick install guide placed over the PSU, and a cardboard sheet placed over the cables. Removing the guide and the sheet of cardboard we see that the housing has been adequately protected by a plastic bag and form fitting foam blocks, while all the cables are neatly bundled and isolated in their own compartment.
