Testing (continued):
Passmark Performance Test 7.0 Build 1031 (64-Bit), (continued):
"Memory - Write" performance is the fourth Performance Test evalauation. This test puts the overclocked Tactical and Elite kits ahead of the overclocked Sport VLP kit. No significant improvement due to overclocking the Sport VLP kit were observed.
With "Memory Large RAM" results, overclocking becomes more significant. We find overclocking the Sport VLP yields a nearly 6% score improvement. The Sport VLP in overclocked form is nearly 3% faster than the Tactical LP kit and 52% faster than the overclocked Elite kit. Performance against the Elite kit should be mostly ignored for this test due to the Elite kit only having 2x4 GB modules (8GB total). Obviously a "Large RAM" test will negatively reflect on a kit that has half the memory.
Finally the overall composite score shows overclocking the Sport VLP gains a nearly 5% improvement. Once overclocked the Sport VLP exceeds the Tactical LP performance by 2% and the Elite series by 40%. Again please note this test is not fair to the Elite series kit because we are comparing an 8GB (elite kit) against the Tactical & Sport kits (16GB).
