The BIOS (continued):
The Advanced menu option gets into more detail on the specific features of the motherboard, such as the North Bridge, SATA Configuration, USB Configuration, and the ability to activate or deactivate CPU cores. For example under the SATA configuration menu, you can enable S.M.A.R.T. monitoring as well as the RAID mode if you have sufficient drives connected.
The next menu is purely for information purposes, it shows what can be monitored and what its current status is. These include the fans, temperatures and several voltage sensors.
The Boot menu provides options other than just the boot priority, which can be configured here as well as on the Basic BIOS menu. Here you can configure the Full Screen ASUS TUF logo, and other standard boot options such as the "Wait for F1 if Error", NumLock status, and which mode of the BIOS you prefer to start in.
The final menu option is various Tools that are built into the BIOS. This includes the ASUS EZ Flash 2 utility, ASUS SPD information, and O.C. Profiles. The O.C. Profile allows the user to save various profiles that can be switched to as the need arises. The EZ Flash 2 utility is an easy to use BIOS flash utility, download the latest BIOS and put it on a flash drive. Within this tool find the file on the flash drive, and press enter. This will quickly and easily flash the BIOS with less risk than doing it inside Windows.
