CrystalDiskMark 2.2:
CrystalDiskMark's read and write tests provide results with units of measure in terms of MB/s, and higher is always better. Testing was conducted with sequential reads and writes, and random reads and writes using 512K blocks.
The main thing these test results confirm is that SATA 6Gbps isn't much to get excited about if you don't have an SSD that can push the transfer rates to make it worthwhile. In these graphs we see some improvement with the drive moved from the 3Gbps port to the 6Gbps port, but in either case the Gigabyte 3Gbps performance is just as good.
