The Basics:
The
Arctic Cooling Arctic M571 gaming mouse is a plug and play device, so no software is required. The only accessories packaged with it are an instruction manual and an Arctic Cooling logo sticker.
The front of the Arctic M571 looks very similar to other mice with an exception. There is a rapid fire button positioned very close to the left of the scroll wheel. With it being so accessible, this will help reaction time and enthusiasts will appreciate having this button close by.
The below left image shows the left side of the M571 gaming mouse. Arctic Cooling placed a deep indention to hold your thumb comfortably in place while in use. Above the indent Arctic Cooling has placed very slender forward and backward buttons, which can be almost overlooked. As seen in the below right image, the right side of the Arctic M571 has a ripple effect made to rest your ring finger and your pinky finger on. I found myself only resting my ring finger on this and letting my pinky finger rest on the computer desk as I was using it.
Looking from the back of the Arctic M571 in the image below, we can see the Arctic Cooling logo placed on the palm rest area of the mouse. The M571 shows its size from this angle as well. It sits a bit higher than the M551 and fits better in the palm of your hand.
As the below left picture shows, the DPI button on the Arctic M571 is placed on the middle section of the mouse. With the button on the top, the DPI setting can be changed on the fly without having to go into the settings or having to flip the mouse over. This is a nice feature that Arctic Cooling has provided. The below right image shows the Arctic M551 gaming mouse. Seeing the two models side by side helps you see the difference in size of the mice, as well as some of the different features. As you can see in the images below, the top portion of the M571 mouse is all one continuous piece of plastic compared to the three different sections of the M551.
