Wi-Fi has been a part of our lives for a while now, but the experience in many people's homes may not be all that we would expect. Some homes may have places where the Wi-Fi transmission speeds are a bit too low, or perhaps they have completely dead zones. Some may have tried to cobble together their own solutions for better coverage with mixed and matched Wi-Fi routers, extenders, access points, and other hardware to help the matter, but these approaches might lead to more headaches. Whole home Wi-Fi systems are a more recent development that can help cover your entire home with high speed Wi-Fi with minimal configuration and no headache.

The Amped Wireless ALLY Plus Whole Home Smart Wi-Fi System is one of these solutions that will not only let you cover your entire home (up to 15,000 square feet) with AC1900 high speed Wi-Fi, but it also bundles in plenty of features that will make the package even more appealing. It includes things I know I wish I had previously (like parental controls and schedule online times/curfews), as well as other things that I did not know of until seeing the device (like the ability to block mobile apps on a user by user basis). Before taking a look at the sample provided for review, let's take a look at some published data on the ALLY Plus system, as taken from the official product page on the Amped Wireless website...

So, from the above we understand that there are two units as part of the ALLY Plus system that will cover medium to large homes (up to 15,000 square feet). With the ALLY (no Plus suffix), you get one unit that is intended for small to medium sized homes, but I can not find a reference on the ALLY site as to just how much area it thinks this version will cover.
