Unlike the previously reviewed prototype, the Alienvibes E02 retail packaging has been updated with a slip cover with lists the specifications and features of the headphones.
With the slip cover removed we find a sleek black cardboard box which contains the headphones. This box has a magnet integrated into the top flap making it something cool you can hold onto seeing as the headphones come with their own zippered container.
Once the black box is opened you will find the following two items - a rigid zippered shell containing the headphones and an accessory box. The contents of the accessory box include two 3.5mm audio cables, audio adapters, 2x AAA batteries, usage instructions, and a cleaning cloth.
The headphone case looks the same as the prototype sample we reviewed back in October of 2012. While not "crushproof", it will provide much more protection while travelling than a traditional fabric cover. Attached to the carrying case is a small carabiner, but I don't expect it to be particularly useful. Once opened you will find the headphones in their collapsed state. Behind the headphones is a mesh net which is a good place to store the included headphone accessories.
