Packaging and Accessories:
The
EZVIZ Mini Plus comes in an attractive package that has a full color slip cover cut on an angle. The front shows an image of the camera contained inside, the name of the device and mentions the 1080p resolution. The sides have a cool little design that adds some class to the packaging. Around back you can find more details of the devices capabilities; like cloud recording, night vision, alerts, microSD card, WiFi standards supported, two way audio, warranty and system requirements.
Sliding this cover off you’ll see the camera peeking through a cardboard support. Lifting the camera out of the way and removing the base cardboard you’ll find a user manual, a quick start guide, warranty info, mounting screws, some double stick tape, a steel mounting plate, a USB cable and AC adapter for USB cable.
The Basics:
The first thing you noticed about the EZVIZ Mini Plus is how tiny this camera is. The camera body itself is slightly larger than 2”x2” with the lens in the top left corner, the IR LED’s just to the right and the mic is located just below the lens. On the left side there is a reset switch and a microSD card slot as well as some perforations.
Along the right side there are additional perforations. These perforated areas are likely for the 2-way audio and motion alert tones. The camera itself has a ball joint which allows it to be positioned in a multitude of angles and skews. The power port on this device is actually in the base which is very cool. It allows you to really keep your cable management tidy. Also a nice touch is the magnetic base. This allows you to stick to anything carbon steel or you can use the included carbon steel plate to mount to a wall. Overall the device appears to be very well made and well thought out.
