The front video quality is very good during the day and acceptable at night. I found on rural roads at night the camera struggled to see detail on the side of the road and the image recorded is somewhat darker than what you see in real life. There is also a bit of noise in the picture but it would still be sufficient for recording what happened. The rear provides a good over view of what was happening around your vehicle, but it will have issues with resolving license plates and in many vehicles you may have issues with reflection. At night however there is no image to see on rural roads. In suburban areas you can certainly make out much more detail with the aid of street and other ambient lighting. Below are samples of daytime as well as night front and rear videos; these were all shot at max resolution and frame rates.
