Initial Setup (continued):

Wi-Fi settings: Allow you to enable Wi-Fi to autostart with turn on and timeout if unused for 10 minutes. It is here you would change the SSID and password.

The final part of the installation is to go to www.blackvue.com/downloads. Here you will find the latest version of the BlackVue Viewer for PC. While the SD card does have a version you can open and use I found the video playback to stutter a bit, but with the latest version playback was smooth. Installation is straight forward after downloading as you can see in the caps below.

Once the viewer is installed you will have many of the same options to enable/disable/adjust that you do in the app but as mentioned some of these are more intuitive to adjust here. So I will touch first on the Sensitivity adjustment. Here too you will see a slider to adjust the threshold to create an event in Normal or Parking mode but via the viewer you can click on the Advanced Settings to make these changes more intuitive. The way they do this is allow you to watch your videos and see what the corresponding G-sensors are reading. With this info you can make a better assessment of what is OK and what is not. I really like this feature. But there is one problem, the G-sensors seem to record a lot of noise. As you can see in the screen cap below, even when I was driving on a fairly flat straight road, at a constant speed, the G-sensor readings are all over the place. I also saw some places where it was recording nearly 1G of acceleration... I wish my car was capable of that.

I also found the Cloud settings tab easier to use. Having the full keyboard makes inputting the wrong credentials much less likely. You are able to store three hotspot SSID/password combos.
