Xclio 3060 Plus ATX Case with 36cm Fan
|
Conclusion:
The 36cm side panel fan on the Xclio 3060 Plus is certainly the largest I have seen on a case. The size of it will grab the attention of your friends, but they definitely won't notice it due to noise. The integrated fan controller is a great feature for air flow and noise control, and it is especially nice since it uses a standard 4-pin Molex power connector instead of a three pin fan connector.
I have no major objections to this case, as is it works great, and helps to keep the installed system cool. But, I do have a few things I would change on this case. The first would be the inclusion of additional fans (such as a front in-take and an exhaust). I would also like to see tool-less features included for the drive bays and expansion slots. The tool-less features are listed as an optional item, but at this point they should honestly be included on all cases.
A search of PriceGrabber did not return any results for the Xclio 3060 Plus ATX Case with 36cm Fan. Checking Xclio's site shows that Newegg.com is the only etailer with their products. Newegg.com has the 3060 Plus available for $59.99, which is an attractive price for a good mid-tower case.
Given the cooling performance, general features, and novel 36cm fan, I award the Xclio 3060 Plus ATX Case with 36cm Fan the rating of "Recommended".
Pros:
» 36cm fan
» Low noise
» Good cooling
» Built-in fan controller
Cons:
» Not tool-less
» No front or rear fans included
