The Basics:
Taking a look at the top portion of the front bezel shows that is fairly standard with four 5.25" drive bays (one bay is hidden behind a door so you do not have to have a perfectly matched optical drive), and two 3.5" bays. Taking a closer look at the 3.5" drive bays reveals that one of them is not really a bay, but is a door which covers the front USB and headphone/microphone ports. There is also a cut out for a Firewire port, but the actual connection is not provided. Below the 3.5" drive bays there is a large power button surrounded by a plastic circle which will light up in blue when the system is powered on. Under the power button is a small reset button, and six tiny LEDs which will light up for hard drive access.
The side panel is probably the most interesting feature of this case because of the huge 36cm fan!
The fan housing itself is plastic, while the actual side panel is made out of steel. Also found on the side panel is a power button, a blue power LED, and a fan controller.
The back panel does not present anything that we have not seen on every other case. The power supply is located at the top, with the motherboard I/O panel under it. To the right of the I/O panel is a place where you can install one or two exhaust fans. Finally, at the bottom there are seven expansion slots. The panel on the side opposite the opening is rarely discussed as it is normally a solid panel. As can be seen in the below right image, Xclio has opted to install a few air holes for ventilation on the 3060 Plus.
In addition to the air holes on the side panel, there are some more found on the top of the case. This is probably the best place to put some ventilation, and an exhaust fan located here would help to draw out the hot air from inside the case.
