Installation (continued):
In the below left image the cooler is installed in the manual's recommended direction. To install it in this orientation, the shroud had to be removed in order to get access to the thumbscrews. In the below right image an alternative orientation is shown where the fan is pointing downwards. This orientation causes an issue, as the cooler is covering the memory slots.
The image below shows how the cooler covers the memory slots, and there is barely access to the outer two slots which can cause a problem during memory upgrades. If memory with a tall heat spreader is used there will be issues with this cooler in this orientation, as there is not much room between the memory and the cooler.
Now let's take a quick look at the LCD panel built into the controller.
It was difficult to take decent pictures of the panel, and be assured that it looks much nicer than these picture show. On the left hand side of the display there are two timers. The first is the total number of hours that the cooler has been in use, while the second shows how long the system has been operational. In the middle of the display is the temperature, which can be presented in either Celsius or Farenheit. On the right hand side is a graphic that shows that the computer is working. This display has six (6) different backlight coloring options. The below left image shows dark blue, while the below right image shows white/light blue. Other color choices include purple, yellow, green, and turquoise.
